It’s getting to be that time of year, when snow is on the horizon and Santa hats are starting to bob up and down in the crowds at the football games. So what do you have planned for the kids this year to keep them occupied while the adults are trying to carry on a conversation? You should try some Christmas party games-not all of them are just for kids either.

One of the best Christmas party games out there is the wrapping paper game. This consists of playing a sort of musical chairs game. Someone plays Christmas music and when it stops, the person who has the gift gets to unwrap one layer of the paper. The person who pulls off the last layer of gift-wrap wins the present. The gift doesn’t have to be expensive and this Christmas party game is one that works well for adults or children.

Another great Christmas party game is the right-left game. This wonderful Christmas party game is again a great one for the kids or the adults. The way it works is one person makes up a story and writes it down. Then everyone forms a circle and the person with the story starts reading.  Every time the word, “left” or “right,” is mentioned, the gift is passed that way. This is a great Christmas party gift for people who don’t know everyone at the party as they can quickly strike up a conversation with the people next to them.

Quizmas: Christmas Trivia Family FunOne favorite party game that has transformed into a Christmas party game is pin-the-tail-on-the-reindeer. Everyone knows this classic birthday party game. Why not make it into a classic Christmas party game too!

Looking for Rudolph is another great Christmas party game. It is basically a take off of the old hot and cold game. Here you use a small reindeer that is hidden somewhere in the house. Kids love this Christmas party game and will play it for hours if you let them. It just never seems to get old.

Remember that during the holidays, the kids are going to be full of energy and excitement while waiting for Santa. Give them a constructive game to play to burn off energy and re-direct their attention. You never know which Christmas party game will become the family favorite.
